It had a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a lounge area in the rooms, enjoyed that. Everything created a relaxed atmosphere. Plus, we were 25 mins by foot from Hugill Hall. The breakfast was sensational.

All fab: service and food. A huge standard room was a highlight for us. Excellent owner running the hotel. We enjoyed our time here.

You guys made our stay LOVELY. Really comfortable bed. Really conveniently located hotel. A cool bonus was nearby cafe ambio ings, that offered tea and coffee.
-
was really friendly, very helpful, clean , excellent breakfast who could want for more.
coffee and tea wasn't replenished , but no big deal, we asked for more and we got more.

Absolutely everything! Beautiful room, which had lovely views. Spotlessly clean, best night sleep ive had in a long time! The cooked-to-order breakfast was amazing, and kept me going all day. Friendly and courteous staff, who couldnt be more helpful. Excellent location for Kendal (where I was working) and Windemere. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Cant wait to go back!
Nothing at all to comment on.

Friendly staff, lovely food, close to Windermere
On a main road but traffic died down at night

The staff were extremely friendly and efficient, the room was clean, comfortable and well furnished, with good facilities for tea making and multi channel tv.The bathroom was clean and modern and the towels were plentifull and of the right size and very high quality. The atmosphere was very relaxing, warm and welcoming. Breakfast which was included in the price was served in a small dinning room with the food being pre-ordered the night before via a ticksheet. The full english breakfast with vegetarian option, was waitress served and was accompanied by help yourself additions such as cereal, toast and fresh fruit and juices. We would recommend Meadowcroft wholegeartedly, and will most definitely use them again should we need overnight accomodation in The Lake District.
There was nothing to dislike, although personally I might have prefered a bath as opposed to a shower in my room, but having said that the shower was excellent. We had a ground floor room at the front of the house, with double aspect windows, it was light as a result, but there was also some noise from the proximity of the main road which runs to the side of Meadowcroft. At this time of year Nov, the road was quiet of traffic, but I would imagine in summer it might be a little distracting if you are trying to get an early nights sleep. We returned to our room at around 9pm and found little passing traffic at this time so it wasn't really a problem.

Comfortable accommodation, good breakfast, easy location just off the A591
Noise from the road, only 30 minute period for breakfast
-
Friendliness of staff, good location, excellent Pub food just down the road.

We only had an overnight stay as the guesthouse was half way through our journey but it was lovely. Beautiffuly clean and comfortable, great breakfast and good value for money. Would choose it again if in the Lake District. Also within walking distance to local pub/micro brewery/restaurant which was also excellent.
Breakfast is only from 8.15am until 8.45am, we would have liked an earlier breakfast time so that we could have got on the road sooner, but did not spoil our stay.
-
Ask for a room at the back of the house, avoiding the noisy road
-
A spotlessly clean room and very comfortable bed, and tea and coffee facilities in the room, which we always like. The breakfast was very nice and adequate for our needs. We were made very welcome by Rosemary and found her very friendly. Would stay there again if we were in the area.
Nothing we didn't like.
